Tutoring Services
Academic Success Center
Lcated in T.D and Rowena Everett Center, the Academic Success
Center (ASC) offers peer tutoring to aid students in completing
class assignments, preparing for examinations and improving their
understanding of content covered in a particular course. In
addition, computers are available for students' academic use.
On-line tutoring in a variety of subjects is provided for students
through Smarthinking (www.smarthinking.com).
Students are encouraged to utilize the Center as a resource for
improving study strategies and reading techniques. The Center also
offers assistance with other academic problems. All services
are provided at no extra charge to Lindsey Wilson College
students.
Mathematics
Center
Located in Room 129 of the Fugitte Science Center, the Mathematics
Center provides tutoring in mathematics for students enrolled in
mathematics courses. The tutoring services are provided at no extra
charge. Tutoring appointments are not necessary but are encouraged
for those who use the Center often. The CATS Lab within the
Mathematics Center provides computers for completing course
assignments in mathematics. The Mathematics Center's hours of
operation are posted on the Center's entrance door.
Writing Center
The Writing Center provides one-to-one assistance and group or
class workshops to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty,
and staff in an effort to support its belief that writing serves as
one of the primary means for learning and communicating. Services
are free to all experience levels and at any point in the writing
process. The Center is located in Room 200 of the W.W. Slider
Humanities Center. Online sessions are available to LWC writers at
community campuses.
