Master of Education

Lindsey Wilson College offers two Master of Education degrees.

The School of Professional Counseling offers a degree in Counseling and Human Development with a specialization in mental health counseling.  This application-oriented program is designed to enhance the skills of bachelor-level practioners presently employed or planning a professional career in counseling.  In addition to offering the program on the AP White campus in Columbia, Ky, the college offers the program through community-based programs in locations across Kentucky and in Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.  The Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) standards.

The Education Division offers a degree for Rank II Change, preparing teachers to be leaders in rural schools, exemplifying best practices in teaching. This practitioner-based curriculum reflects the program's conceptual framework theme, "Teacher as Leader in Rural Schools" and prepares professionals to lead their students and schools in accomplishing school improvement goals that improve student achievement.  The program is offered in a weekend format in Russell Springs, Ky.  The Master of Education, Rank II Change, is accredited by the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) and the Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE).
