Accreditation
Lindsey Wilson College is accredited by the Southern
Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges
(1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097; Telephone number
404-679-4501) to award associate, baccalaureate and master's
degrees. The College is also accredited by the University Senate of The United Methodist
Church.
The Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development is
accredited through the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and
Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
The Master of Education for Teacher as Leader and the Bachelor
of Arts in Education are accredited by the Kentucky Educational
Professional Standards Board (EPSB) and the Council on
Postsecondary Education (CPE).
The Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration is accredited by
the International
Assembly of College Business Education (IACBE).
Lindsey Wilson College Division of Nursing Program has
initial approval by the Kentucky Board of Nursing (312
Whittington Parkway, Suite 300, Louisville, KY 40222). This
status is shown on the Kentucky Board of Nursing (www.kbn.ky.gov).
The Lindsey Wilson College School of Professional Counseling
Program bachelor's degree program in Human Services and Counseling,
and master's of education degree program in Counseling and Human
Development have been granted the following
authorization/certification from state authorities:
The Ohio Board of Regents has authorized Lindsey Wilson
College to offer the programs at Cincinnati Technical and
Community College in Cincinnati and at Southern State Community
College in Hillsboro.
The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) has
certified Lindsey Wilson College to operate in Virginia and to
offer the programs at Southwest Virginia Community College (P.O Box
SVCC, 369 College Road, Richlands, VA 24219), Mountain Empire
Community College (344 Mtn. Empire Rd., Big Stone Gap, VA 24219),
and Wytheville Community College (1000 East Main St.,
Wytheville, VA
24382).
The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission has
authorized Lindsey Wilson College to operate in West Virginia at
the Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College: Logan
Campus.
Lindsey Wilson College is authorized for operation as a
postsecondary educational institution by the Tennessee Higher
Education Commission. This authorization must be renewed each
year and is based on an evaluation by minimum standards concerning
quality of education, ethical business practices, health and
safety, and fiscal responsibility.
The Tennessee Higher Education Commission has authorized Lindsey
Wilson College to operate in Tennessee at Volunteer State Community
College, 1480 Nashville Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066.
