Biography:
I came to Lindsey in 2001. It has always been my desire to
teach at a small school. I truly enjoy the one on one
interactions with students and really getting to know my
students. I am originally from Morehead, KY and I grew up the
daughter of a geology professor. I have spent most of my life
in a college science building.
My main interests outside the classroom are spending time with
my husband and two children, Lilly and Sam. I also enjoy
gardening, cooking, and shopping.
My goal in the classroom is to try to convey the wonders of the
complexity of cells and genetics!! How cells do all they do
and do it so well is just amazing! I hope to stimulate
student's interests through discussions within the classroom and
the lab. Currently, several students have been participating
in an independent research project trying to identify genes
involved mRNA splicing in Saccharomyces cerevisiae or
Baker's yeast.
