Lindsey Wilson Players

Have you ever wanted to act in a
play? Do you ever find yourself watching "Whose Line Is It
Anyway?" and wishing that you were part of an improv troupe? Or
have you always wanted to explore the theatrical arts but never had
a chance before? If you answered "yes" to any of these
questions, then you have a home in the Lindsey Wilson
Players.
The Lindsey Wilson Players provides opportunities for Lindsey
Wilson College students to learn about theatre, to participate in
all aspects of theatrical productions, and to grow community
awareness of the theatre arts through service and performance.

Founded in the fall semester of 2008, LWP produced two major
dramatic plays in its first year with the support and direction of
faculty memeber Asa James Swann - David Ives' All in the
Timing and Neil Simon's Rumors. Guest Artist
Robert Brock then directed the Players in Jean Anouilh's
Antigone and Steel Magnolias by Robert
Harling. In 2011 Mr Brock joined the LWC faculty as Assistant
Professor of Theatre. In the Spring of 2011 the Players
produced A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Every Fall the LW Players has an organizational meeting.
The schedule of plays and auditions will be announced. All
interested students are invited to attend. The faculty
advisor is Robert
Brock.
