  A non-calculus based introduction to models of physical phenomena including conservation of energy, three-phase matter, mechanical energies, oscillations,particle models of matter, bond energy, and thermal energy, thermodynamics, ideal gas, entropy, Bernoulli's principles, solid-state energy-density, and linear transport. Emphasis will be placed on conceptual analysis, graphical interpretation, and communiation. A laboratory component is included. Prerequisite: MATH 1124 or equivalent. Course rotation: Fall.
