  A calculus based introduction to models of physical phenomena including conversation of energy, three-phase matter, mechanical energies, oscillations, particle models of matter, bond energy, and thermal energy, thermodynamics, ideal gas, Galilean space-time, momentum conservation, angular momentum conservation, Newtonian mechanics. Emphasis will be placed on cenceptual analysis, problem solving, graphical interpretation, and communication. A laboratory componenet is included. Prerequisite: MATH 2315 or equivalent.
