COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Ben Martin of Campbellsville,
Ky., has been named a Lindsey Wilson College Freshman Advisor.

Ben Martin of
Campbellsville, Ky., has been named a Freshman Advisor.
As Freshman Advisor, Martin will work closely with students
throughout their first year in college. He will help guide them
through course selection and registration as well as provide
information, referrals and coordination with campus services. He'll
also teach the "Freshman Seminar" class.
Martin said he is looking forward to the new challenges.
"I am so excited about serving Lindsey Wilson College in this
role," Martin said. "I love working with college students, and I
feel that I have a lot of life experience to pull from in doing so.
Working in the (John B. Begley) Chapel was a great experience and
only fueled my passion for working with this population. Moving to
the Freshman Advisor position only added to the drive."
Martin said he can help contribute to the Academic Success Center
by adding to what's already going well.
"It's not about what I accomplish but more about adding to what's
already being done," he said. "The people that work in the ASC are
committed to helping incoming freshman adjust to college life and
be successful. They focus on things such as campus resources,
active learning, family adjustment, values, time management, health
and wellness, money matters and so much more.
