Lindsey Wilson Singers Perform National Anthem Before Reds Game

CINCINNATI -- The Lindsey Wilson College Singers performed the national anthem before Tuesday night's Reds-Astros game at Great American Ball Park. The performance -- before more than 23,000 fans -- came 10 years, two days after the Lindsey Wilson Singers last performed the national anthem before a Reds game.

The last time the Lindsey Wilson Singers performed the national anthem before a Reds game, it was at Cinergy Field and it was also the first post-9/11 Reds game. The Reds beat the Cubs that night, 6-5.

At Tuesday night's performance, the Lindsey Wilson Singers were joined by seven alumni, several of whom had also performed before the 2001 game.

Although the Lindsey Wilson Singers performed at a different venue on Tuesday night, the outcome of the game was the same: the Reds won. On Tuesday night, the Reds won 6-4 on the strength of seven strong innings from starter Homer Bailey and two home runs.
