Lindsey Wilson Concert Band to Make Debut Friday

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College Concert Band will make their public debut Friday night with a concert that will people in the holiday spirit.

The Lindsey Wilson Concert Band will perform "A Christmas Concert" 7 p.m. CT Friday, Dec. 4, in V.P. Henry Auditorium. The concert will also feature the Lindsey Wilson Singers.

The concert is free and open to the public.
The Concert Band and Singers will perform both secular and spiritual Christmas selections including, "Ukrainian Bell Carol," "Pat-a-Pan" (an ancient French melody), the 13th century Plainsong "Divinum Mysterium," "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Arise and Shine in Splendor," "Jingle Bells" and Irving Berlin's "White Christmas."
The Lindsey Wilson Concert Band is under the direction of Director of Instrumental Ensembles Tim Allen; the Lindsey Wilson Singers are under the direction of Associate Professor of Music and Religion and Director of Choral Programs L. Gerald Chafin.
