Eleven Lindsey Wilson College Students Awarded Leadership Awards, Dr. Anne Streeter Named Remarkable Raider



COLUMBIA, Ky. - Eleven Lindsey Wilson College students were honored Wednesday, April 25, 2018 for their leadership skills and contributions to the LWC community.

The 11 students were recognized at the 10th-annual L3 Student Leadership Banquet, held in the Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center.

All 11 students were honored for the leadership they've displayed this school year at the liberal arts college, and three received a top award for outstanding community and campus leadership and service contribution. The 11 students were each given a leadership book by LWC President William T. Luckey Jr.

Kentucky State Senator Max Wise delivered the keynote address telling the students “we will be looking upon you to be the leaders for the Commonwealth and also our country.”

“I really appreciate the leadership of this campus and for the Lindsey Wilson L3 Program and what they are instilling in you as young people as you step out to start this next chapter in your life,” said Wise. “You are going to carry on this tradition of leadership that’s going to be with you for the rest of your careers.”


L3 - which stands for live, learn and lead - is a program that encourages and recognizes student leadership throughout the college.

The three top students recognized were:
- Logan Adams, human services and counseling senior from Somerset, Ky.
- Samantha Cape, human service and counseling/history senior from Shepardsville, Ky.
- Kayla Jones, nursing senior from Greensburg, Ky.

The other students recognized were:

- Patrick Adkins, business administration senior from Glasgow, Ky.
- Autumn Bishop, psychology and human services and counseling senior from Louisville, Ky.
- Haley Cook, nursing senior from Cawood, Ky.
- Kohl Dodd, education junior from Louisville, Ky.
- Kate Durham, psychophysiology and biology senior from Columbia, Ky.
- Travis Faulkner, counseling and human development student from Bowling Green, Ky.
- Makenzie Montano, communication senior from Louisville, Ky.
- Anna Murrell, communication senior from Columbia, Ky.


Assistant Professor of Communication Dr. Anne Streeter is Named 2018 Remarkable Raider

Before the conclusion of the banquet, the college’s 2018 Remarkable Raider was announced. This year's recipient was Assistant Professor of Communication, Dr. Anne Streeter. Streeter was named a “Remarkable Raider” by the LWC Student Government Association. The award is given annually to an LWC staff member who the LWC SGA officers believe embodies the college's mission of serving "every student, every day.”
