Coach Corey Ruff is the wrestling program's first head coach.
Ruff was hired November, 2009, and will lead the Lindsey
Wilson wrestling team in its inaugural season in 2009-10.
Ruff heads the Lindsey Wilson program after being an assistant
at Ellsworth Community College and at the University of
Wisconsin-La Crosse.
During his time at Ellsworth and Wisconsin-La Crosse, Ruff
helped coach four national champions, 24 All-Americans, 19 regional
champions and 40 national qualifiers.
While at Wisconsin-La Crosse, Ruff helped the team improve its
national tournament finish each of the three seasons he was on
staff. In 2004-05, UW-La Crosse finished as national runner-up in
the NCAA Division III National Championships. At Ellsworth, Ruff
helped the team to a fifth place finish in 2007-08.
Before his collegiate coaching career, Ruff spent four years as
the assistant coach at Arcadia High School in Wisconsin. While at
Arcadia he led the strength and conditioning program and assisted
in all other aspects of the team.
With the program beginning in the fall of 2009, Ruff's primary
responsibility is recruiting Lindsey Wilson's first team.
The wrestling program will be housed in the new health and
wellness center which is scheduled for opening in the fall of 2009.
There will be a 5,000 square foot area that includes a wrestling
room and offices for the staff.
Ruff resides in Columbia.

NCAA Division III each of final two years.
- Coached 3 State Champions, 8 State place winners, 10 State
qualifiers in 4 years at high school level.
- Helped lead the Arcadia High School wrestling team to the
sectional finals three straight seasons.
