I have been with Lindsey Wilson School of Professional
Counseling since 2008-I enthusiastically support the mission of
SPC. I am student centered in my role as professor and Regional
Academic Director.
My research interests involve social and cultural factors that
affect the self-concept. I am currently examining the cultural
worldview of Appalachians and implications for counseling.
I returned to my ancestral roots in Eastern Kentucky. I
currently reside in the beautiful mountains of Pike County with my
husband and colleague, Daniel, and my daughter, Indigo Elise.
