Mission
The mission of the Katie Murrell Library
is to provide access to information resources, collections,
technology and services, which have been selected and designed to
support the educational, learning, and research needs of the
Lindsey Wilson College community, and, to provide active
instruction, assistance, and guidance needed to locate, evaluate,
and use these resources and services.
We seek to meet the learning and information needs of the
Lindsey Wilson College community by providing user-friendly access
to a collection that includes books, periodicals, AV media,
electronic resources, and databases. Access tools include an online
catalog, citation and full-text databases, and the Internet.
The Katie Murrell Library is a United States government
depository library. It receives a selection of government
publications in print, microform, and electronic formats. These
include periodicals, statistical reports, consumer literature,
agency directories, census data, and research findings from all
branches of the government.
The library offers select services as a privilege to residents
of Adair and adjacent counties. Applicants for these services must
complete an area resident application form and present a picture ID
with a current local address.
