Staff members are responsible for carpentry, electrical service, heating and air conditioning maintenance, plumbing, painting, custodial service and event set-up. Total maintained area of buildings exceeds 500,000 square feet. Our grounds crew maintains an excess of  200 acres of lawns and flowerbeds around campus buildings.

Further, our objective is specifically intended to provide:

• buildings and their components that function safely and at top efficiency
• facilities and equipment that minimize the possibility of fires, accidents and safety hazards
• continuous use of facilities without disruptions to the educational program
• protection of public property through proper planning, scheduling and preventive maintenance
• quality management of maintenance projects and tasks
• conservation of energy through utilization of the latest technology and energy conservation measures
• a quality maintenance program through effective management and efficient utilization of resources

The Physical Plant Operations department also fulfills many of the transportation needs for Lindsey Wilson College through management, service and maintenance of fleet vehicles and transportation services. The Lindsey Wilson fleet consists of two charter buses, five vans, 30 cars and 13 service vehicles.
