wide range of supports and services for faculty, staff, and
students. These services revolve around Instructional Technology,
Teaching and Learning, and Institutional Assessment. Information on

Services
Classroom Observations
Confidential classroom observations and consultation are
available to all full and part time instructors at Lindsey Wilson
College. Full details on classroom observations can be found
here. To request a classroom observation consultation, contact
Dr. Jeff Parsons at 270.250.9312 or parsonsj@lindsey.edu.
Consultation
Individual and group consultations are available. Appoints
can be in-person or online. You can schedule an appointment using
the
consultation calendar. If none of the available times fit your
schedule, you request another time by contacting Dr. Jeff Parsons
at 270.250.9312 or parsonsj@lindsey.edu.
Goodin Computer Lab Services
The Goodin Computer Lab is located in 240 Goodin on
the Columbia Campus. The lab is regularly staffed with work studies
who are available to assist with questions on Blackboard, Google
Apps, Tegrity, and other instructional technology platforms. You
can check the
Goodin Lab Calendar for a current schedule for the
lab.
Teaching and Learning Teaching
Circle
Instructors can get community-based support for teaching
and learning issues by participating in the Teaching and Learning
Teaching Circle. The teaching circle meets twice each month and
uses AnyMeeting to allow off-campus faculty to participate. Members
of the teaching circle contribute to the
Teach Tips discussion forum, which is open to all faculty and
staff. Meeting times are set by members of the teaching
circle.
Workshops
A variety of workshops are available in classroom, online,

This
repository contains all Teaching and Technology Effectiveness
documents related to instructional technology, teaching and
learning, and institutional assessment.
Self-Paced
Training
Self-paced training for students and
faculty are available through the LWC Training Center in
Blackboard. All members of Lindsey Wilson College are automatically
enrolled in the training. You can find additional information on
starting training
here.
Support Forums
Teaching and Technology Effectiveness
hosts three Google Groups:
Teach Tips - An closed forum where faculty and
staff can ask questions or share insights on teaching and
learning.
Tech Updates - An announcement forum for posts
related to new instructional technologies.
Tech Tips - A moderated forum for all faculty,
staff, and students. Participants can post technical questions or
tips.

Instructional Technology - This site provides
support for instructional technology used by Lindsey Wilson
College. Resources include quick start guides, links to support
services, and detailed how to videos and documents on common
functions within Google Apps, Blackboard, and other tools.
Teaching and Learning - This site provides support for
teaching and learning at Lindsey Wilson College. Resources include
links to services offered by Teaching and Technology Effectiveness,
information on methods for enhancing student learning, options for
getting assistance.
Institutional Assessment - This site provides
support for institutional assessment at Lindsey Wilson College.
Resources include links to assessment services, information on
course evaluations, and information on program assessment.
Resources - This site provides links to
institutional and departmental Google Calendars, Groups (mailing
lists that also serve and discussion forums), and document
repositories. Members of these resources can access them directly
from the resources page. Non-members can request membership from
this page.
