Political Science - Program Distinctions


The Political Science major gives students a comprehensive understanding of the political world. The major emphasizes analyzing political developments and their political impacts. Students study American Politics (such as the U.S. Congress, and the U.S. Presidency), Political Theory, Law (such as U.S. Constitutional and U.S. Criminal Law), and International Politics (such as: Comparative Politics, Middle East Politics, Politics of the Soviet Union and Russia, and Terrorism). Students also have the opportunity to spend a semester in Frankfort and/or Washington D.C. taking courses and also doing an internship. The Capstone course allows students to conduct research on a topic of their choosing.
