Art - Program Distinctions
Art Majors Exhibit; students majoring in art with studio emphasis enjoy the opportunity to exhibit their art work as a component of the capstone course, Art Majors Seminar. Internship; art majors meeting the requirements of the Digital Art track emphasis area prepare for real world experiences through on site internship opportunities. Lucrectia Begley Gallery; located in the Slider Humanities Building, the gallery features a diverse range of art exhibits by local, regional and national artists, as well as student work, to enrich college and community interaction. In addition, art program faculty members are actively involved in their fields through exhibits, commissions, grants, and are dedicated to teaching effectiveness. Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular art activities and travel opportunities.
