We are committed to assisting students to fund their college education through financial aid such as scholarships, grants, loans and federal work study programs.
Financial Aid Deadlines (FAFSA)
You cannot file the 2024-2025 FAFSA until after January 1, 2024 using 2022 tax return information at www.studentaid.gov. FAFSA will NOT be available October 1, 2023.
In order to be eligible for financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year. FAFSA submission available for 2024-25 school year, requiring 2022 tax information, has a deadline of Janurary 1. Here Is What You Need To Know...
SOPHOMORE/JUNIOR YEAR
Inquire about LWC and receive additional information via email.Get involved at school and in your community to maximize scholarship opportunities.
Register to take the ACT or SAT to gain a better understanding of the test and to maximize scholarship opportunities.
Enroll in challenging courses so you will be prepared for the rigors of college coursework.
When available, enroll in dual credit courses.
SENIOR YEAR
September/OctoberApply for admission at www.lindsey.edu/apply.
Schedule ACT or SAT dates.
Begin the visit process--visiting campus is the best way to learn about LWC.
Connect with your admissions counselor.
Complete the FAFSA as soon after October 1 as possible.
November/December
Continue the application and visit process.
Make sure your FAFSA is completed.
Make sure your application is completed, including your high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores.
January/February
Retake the ACT or SAT to maximize scholarship opportunities.
If selected for FAFSA verification, complete your requirements with KHEAA Verify.
Review your scholarship and financial aid offer electronically.
If you are competing for the Begley Scholarship, submit the application materials no later than January 25.
March/April
Continue reviewing the financial aid offer.
When you've made the decision to become a Blue Raider, accept scholarships and aid electronically.
Submit your housing application and fee.
If you're competing for the Bonner or Wesley Scholarship, submit the application materials no later than March 15.
Submit your class registration form to begin the registration process.
Complete your schedule during a one on one advising appointment.
May/June
Register for and attend New Student Orientation.
Request your final high school transcript to be sent to LWC.
Request your dual credit transcripts to be sent to LWC via Transcript Ordering Center.
Request your AP scores to be sent to LWC.
July/August
Prepare for Welcome Weekend where you Officially Become A Blue Raider!
