All In For LWC - 2017 Chair's Challenge

2,767 Donors in a 48-Hour Period With Gifts Totaling $477,726

Campaign Update: President Luckey sent the following email to the LWC community at 3:58 p.m. CT on Sept. 21, 2017.

Friends,

I want to give you an update on the All In For LWC Chair's Challenge. You will recall that Mr. P, Allan Parnell, promised to give $200,000 to the college if we could generate 2,500 donors in a 48-hour window. Our goal last year was 1,000 donors.

I am pleased to report that with the generous support of so many of our faculty, staff, students, friends, and trustees, we ended the campaign with 2,767 donors and $477,726! Just to give you some idea of how massive the response has been, we had more donors in the last 48 hours than we did for the entire year just two years ago. In fact, in the last 48 hours we nearly doubled the number of donors that we had from as recently as 2006.

Many thanks to our student callers, our development staff and all of you who supported the college through your gifts and spreading the challenge to your friends. We also want to express our sincere gratitude to the local businesses and to the Adair County community for your generous support.

Finally, none of this would have been possible without the incredible generosity and leadership of Chairman Allan Parnell and his wife, Bunny.

Lindsey Wilson College alumni, students, employees, parents and friends went above and beyond the call of duty when they were challenged to help LWC students. We are overwhelmed by your generosity. Campaign totals are not yet complete. We will update the LWC community as soon as we have the final numbers.

We are halfway to goal! More than 1,250 donors have contributed to the Chair's Challenge with just 12 hours left in the campaign.

So many of you have stepped-up to show your love for LWC students and contribute to scholarship aid. Let's push forward and make our goal of 2,500 donors. The LWC Alumni Office will be on the quad until 2 p.m. CT today, Wednesday, Sept. 20. Look for our tent and go ALL IN FOR LWC!
