Bob's Basket

Bob's Basket is an on-campus food and hygiene pantry available to all Blue Raiders. The mission of the pantry is to supplement student needs when existing resources cannot, and to make necessities available and accessible across campus. The pantry began as a student-led initiative in the spring of 2021, being so well utilized that it became an official student resource in 2022.

Location

The pantry is located in the Student Union Building. Donation drop boxes can be found at the Student Union Building and the Holloway Health and Wellness Center.

Hours

Monday - Friday
7 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Saturday, Sunday
8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bob's Basket Pantry items
Shelf Service
Bob's Basket hosts a self-service shelf in the Student Union Building that is stocked weekly with various nonperishable food and hygiene items, including:
  • Breakfast items - cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix
  • Canned goods - spaghetti, soup, vegetables, tuna
  • Grab and go snacks - granola bars, applesauce, peanut butter
  • Microwave meals - mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, stir fry
  • Hygiene items - deodorant, toothbrushes, shampoo and conditioner, body wash

Break Bags
Break Bags Bob's Basket seeks to service students over academic breaks by offering pre-made packages of food, lovingly nicknamed "Break Bags", for students to take home with them. A typical break bag includes:
  • A drink
  • Breakfast item
  • 3 snack items
  • 2-3 meals

Students will receive email notifications when break bags are available.
