Saturday, August 20


    9 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Class of 2026 Arrives

    * Commuters arrive between 1 - 2 p.m.
    Biggers Sports Center, (enter via parking lot side to check-in)
    (MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS)
    Welcome to campus! All new students, both residents and commuters, must check in at Biggers Sports Center upon arrival.

    10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Lunch

    Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center
    Lunch is available at a discounted rate to family members at $8.25 per person. LWC students with a meal plan are free. Food is also available at the Coca-Cola trailers near the gym for a reasonable price. Drinks are free.

    2:30 p.m. - Say Goodbye to Parents


    2:30 p.m. - Commuter Connection

    Moseley Auditorium Inside the Hodge Center for Discipleship
    (MANDATORY FOR ALL COMMUTERS)
    All commuting students are required to attend this introduction to commuter life on Lindsey Wilson’s campus. Commuters will get to know other commuting students and have a chance to win some door prizes that include bookstore certificates and meal cards to the Cranmer Dining Center.

    3:15 - 3:30 p.m. - First Residence Hall Meeting

    (MANDATORY FOR ALL RESIDENTS)
    Meet in Your Residence Hall
    Residence Assistants (R.A.) and Resident Directors (R.D.) will go over important information about residential life and residence hall policies. Your R.A. will inform you of the meeting location.

    4 p.m. - Class of 2026 Kick-off Ceremony

    (MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS)

    Students are welcomed by President William T. Luckey Jr., Vice President of Academic Affairs Patricia Parrish and SGA President Evan Smiley. All new students are expected to attend this important event. Please wear your #LWCisFamily t-shirt for an LWC Class of 2026 photo.

    4:20 p.m. - Academic Forum

    (MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS)
    Lawn in Front of the Begley Chapel
    Explore our academic programs in this interactive session with our professors. Connect with faculty from your major, or continue to explore your options as you meet peers with similar interests.

    5 p.m. - President’s Picnic

    Lawn of the Emily D. Hundley President’s Home
    Meet and get to know President Luckey and First Lady Elise Luckey while enjoying an outdoor meal prepared by the Cranmer Dining Center Staff, as well as some music and yard games.

    8 - 10 p.m. - Class of 2026 Lock-in

    Bob and Doris Holloway Health & Wellness Center
    Freshmen are invited to play grocery and laundry bingo, participate in a volleyball or cornhole tournament, hang out in the pool or hot tub, shoot basketball or play a game of dodgeball. Ice cream bars will be handed out while supplies last! Sponsored by Student Activities Board, R.A.V.E., Student Government Association and Campus Recreation.


Sunday, August 21

    (MANDATORY FOR ALL FEMALE RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS)
    * Commuters are Welcome

    Find out what it takes to be academically and socially successful at LWC. Don’t miss this mandatory session with Dean of Students, Chris Schmidt, and Assistant Dean of Students, Abe Cross.
    Sponsored by the Office of Student Services, Academic Affairs, Adanta Sexual Assault Resource Center, Residence Life and Public Safety.

Monday, August 22


    Day Classes Begin

    7:50 a.m. - Ringing of the Bell

    Campus Quadrangle
    Be present as President Luckey and Vice President for Academic Affairs Patricia Parrish ring the bell to signify the first day of classes.

    5 p.m. - Slip-n-slide Kickball and Snow Cones

    Campus Quadrangle
    You'll want to be there for this fun twist on kickball! Feel free to play or stand by and watch while you enjoy a snow cone and music on the quad.

    9:30 p.m. - Hall meetings

    Residence Halls
    Report to your residence hall for a meeting with Resident Assistants (R.A.) and Resident Directors (R.D.).


Tuesday, August 23


    3 - 6 p.m. - Street Sign Design

    Cralle Student Union Building
    Students can create their own custom street sign thanks to PartyTrain Entertainment! This event will go on while supplies last.

Wednesday, August 24


    5 p.m. - Library Block Party

    In Front of the Katie A. Murrell Library
    Come enjoy burgers, hot-dogs, sides, drinks, games, music and some door prizes while getting to know the library staff and learn about what the library can offer students.

    7 - 9 p.m. - Obstacle Course Inflatable

    Bob and Doris Holloway Health & Wellness Center
    Race your friends through this challenging inflatable obstacle course set up by the Kentucky Army National Guard, who will also be sponsoring a raffle prize.


Thursday, August 25


    7 p.m. - Top Gun campus showing

    V.P. Henry Auditorium
    Top Gun is trending this summer and is the theme of this year's Welcome Week, so we want to show campus the original movie that started the hype all the way back in 1986! The original Top Gun movie will be showing for free for students, faculty and staff! Grab a bag of popcorn to enjoy along with the movie.

Friday, August 26


    7 p.m. - Bonfire, S’mores and Spirit Signs

    Campus Quadrangle LWC Football will be playing at home tomorrow afternoon, so come make a spirit sign to hold up at the game in support! There’ll be some fires going and s’mores while they last.
