Caitlyn Tino wins 18th annual Lindsey Wilson Idol contest

COLUMBIA, KY - A Lindsey Wilson College senior won the 18th-annual "Lindsey Wilson Idol" Thursday night, Februay 5, 2015, at V.P. Henry Auditorium. Caitlyn Tino of Louisville, KY, won the singing competition, which included six LWC students in the event’s final round. Junior Cara Embry of Hartford, KY, placed second, and senior Trevor Stonecypher of Columbia KY, finished third

The top three contestants were selected based on a combination of scoring by a four-judge panel and student voting.

The three-day singing event - sponsored by the LWC Student Government Association - began Monday night with 24 LWC students, who competed for $500 in prize money. The second round featured 12 contestants who competed on Tuesday night, who were then culled to the final six.
