Additional Financial Aid May be Available for Qualifying LWC Students

typingCOLUMBIA, KY. -- Students enrolled at Lindsey Wilson College for the fall 2021 semester may qualify for additional financial aid.

LWC dependent students whose parents’ adjusted gross income on their 2020 federal tax return is significantly less than it was in 2019 may be eligible for a recalculation of federal student aid. The recalculation is made possible because the 21-22 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) was processed using 2019 federal tax return information.

Additionally, if you are an independent student and your adjusted gross income on your 2020 federal tax return is significantly less than it was in 2019, you may be eligible for a recalculation of federal student aid.

“LWC is committed to helping our students ease the burden of financial debt and worry caused by the coronavirus pandemic,” said LWC President William T. Luckey Jr. “Any form of financial relief should be considered and we encourage all of our students who are eligible to pursue these funds.”

Students will be required to submit additional documentation before a recalculation can be processed. Examples of documentation may include but are not limited to: a special circumstance form, unemployment documentation and/or signed copies of 2019 and 2020 federal tax returns. This opportunity is available for the 21-22 academic year.
