My LWC Story

Most people spend their entire lives trying to uncover their true passion. But for Andy Mann, his life has been defined by his love for the arts, performing and singing. He spent the greater part of his youth performing in community theatre around southcentral Kentucky.

When Mann enrolled at LWC the college didn’t offer a degree in theatre. He joined the Lindsey Wilson Singers and worked with his advisors to design a multi-disciplinary degree that would combine his interests of the arts and communication. Mann graduated from Lindsey Wilson in 2008 just as the nation was heading into a recession. Experienced performers were finding it difficult to have full-time careers in the arts. Mann put his contract degree to work and entered into pharmaceutical sales specializing in oncology and rheumatology. He was soon promoted to operations manager and developed a successful generic oncology sales team. He now works for Nashville-based HealthTrust which is part of the HCA family where he is responsible for the contracts of more than 1,600 hospital groups.

Mann met his wife, Tiffany Cloud ’04 Mann at LWC and they have been married for 11 years. They live in Nashville, Tenn., with their two sons, August and Abram. He is actively involved with many charities through HCA’s Caring for the Community programs. He also spends time volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Association of Middle Tennessee, Luke 14:12 Soup Kitchen and he enjoys helping out at his boys’ elementary schools. Andy still gets the chance to perform. He is a member of the Providence United Methodist Church praise band in Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and he fulfilled a lifelong dream when he sang at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville in 2016.
