11/6/2008  ENROLLMENT COORDINATOR/INSTRUCTOR:  Lindsey Wilson College is seeking applicants for an Enrollment Coordinator/Instructors for the School of Professional Counseling’s, (SPC) Southern State Community College, Hillsboro, OH and Cincinnati State Community College, Cincinnati, OH.

The Enrollment Coordinator/Instructor is responsible for the daily operation of the SPC’s extension site in the designated area. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: a) recruiting, advising, and mentoring students in the program, b) maintenance of student records, c) teach 18 hours annually in the SPC undergraduate program (travel to additional campuses is required), d) attend site coordinator meetings in the region and on the main campus, and e) function as a contact between the college, local agencies, and related educational institutions.

Qualifications include: A Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred, but a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field could be considered, knowledge of CACREP or similar counselor education programs, a current professional knowledge base, expertise in networking with program stakeholders, and an interest in program development.

10/23/2008  FRESHMAN ADVISOR:  Lindsey Wilson College’s Freshman Year Experience program seeks a full-time freshman advisor to work primarily with under-prepared, undecided freshmen throughout their first year of college. Successful candidate must be highly energetic, self-motivated, and committed to developing an effective advisor-advisee relationship with approximately 50 advisees per semester. Program objectives are to promote the academic success of each advisee, increase students’ knowledge of academic majors and career options open to them, and help freshmen acclimate to the collegial and social life of the college. Responsibilities include teaching sections of freshman seminar and serving as club sponsor for ACES (Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success). ACES is geared toward mentoring freshmen to become successful and emerge as leaders on campus. Freshman Advisors work closely with admissions, faculty, and students services. Some evening and weekend work required.

7/15/2008  GRADUATE ASSISTANT SOFTBALL COACHING:  Lindsey Wilson College, located in Columbia, Kentucky, is seeking applicants for an Assistant Varsity/ Head Junior Varsity Women’s Softball coaching position. Lindsey Wilson is a member of the Mid-South Conference and the NAIA, sponsors twenty-three sports and has 450 student-athletes participating in the various programs. A Bachelor’s degree is required for the position and the selected candidate will be provided graduate tuition reimbursement in the college’s Human Services Department, on-campus housing, meals, and $5,000 for their service.

The selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out coaching and administrative duties for the softball program as directed by the Head Coach, including, but not limited to: recruiting, team travel, camp administration, fundraising, academic monitoring of student-athletes, and instructing players in techniques of softball fundamentals. Knowledge of softball fundamentals, ability to interact with coaches, student-athletes, faculty, excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work within college rules and regulations required.
