This course explores questions of the nature and ground of virtue, wisdom and the good life. It considers ethical theories including deontology, utilitarianism, and virtue ethics. Particular attention is paid to making principled choices in practical situations. It includes responsibilities of the individual and society in both traditional and contemporary moral debates. No Prerequisite. Recommended: Junior classification or higher.
