  This course familiarizes students with standard mathematics functions. These include polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions. The course uses a data modeling approach to introduce and to utilize the functions. There is a larger emphasis on incorporating technology and a smaller emphasis on algebraic manipulations of expressions. This course satisfies the General Education Mathematics requirement. This course is a prerequisite for MATH 1124 Precalculus and MATH 2303 Calculus for Business and Social Sciences. Credit will not be given for both MATH 1013 and MATH 1113.
