COLUMBIA, Ky. -- A group of Lindsey Wilson
College students are helping an LWC professor restore a stream on
the college's A.P. White Campus. The students are part of a plant
propagation class taught by LWC Assistant Professor of Biology Mike Bosela.
In early March, the students and Bosela planted several
trees and shrubs as part of a natural-stream restoration project
that started last October on the A.P. White Campus.
The trees and shrubs were funded thanks to Eastern Kentucky
PRIDE. Eastern Kentucky PRIDE -- which stands for Personal
Responsibility In a Desirable Environment -- is a non-profit
organization based in Somerset that promotes a cleaner environment
in 38 Southern and Eastern Kentucky counties.
