April 26 Talk To Focus on Leadership and Integrity

The Fred Smtih Sr. Leadership Symposium: Live, Learn, Lead
will be April 25-26.
COLUMBIA, Ky. --
Leadership and integrity will the topic of an upcoming talk at
Lindsey Wilson College. The talk, by leadership experts Ron Glosser
and Brenda Smith, will deal with leading with integrity in an age
of conflicting values.
The talk will be at 8 a.m. CT on Tuesday, April 26, in the
Lindsey Wilson Norma & Glen Hodge Center for Discipleship. The
talk -- which is free and open to the public -- will include a
complimentary continental breakfast reception.
"This talk will be an excellent opportunity for anyone in a
leadership position -- whether they lead an organization, manage
people or work with volunteers," said LWC Vice President for
Educational Outreach and Student Financial Services Denise Fudge, who is chair of the event. "Ron
Glosser and Brenda Smith are incredible, dynamic speakers, and they
have a tremendous amount of experience studying leadership. This
will be a wonderful event for our community."
Glosser has been involved in numerous charitable activities
since he retired from a successful career in the banking industry.
He is vice chairman of Guideposts magazine, and he sits on the
board of several organizations. He is past president of the Ohio
Bankers Association, and he is a board member of the Rev. Lloyd
Ogilvie's television ministry.
Smith is the daughter of the late Fred Smith Sr., who wrote the
best-selling leadership book Breakfast with Fred, which
has been turned into the popular leadership resource website www.breakfastwithfred.com.
During his lifetime, Fred Smith received hundreds of accolades
and achievement awards for his contributions to business and
ministry. In 2007, Christianity Today International
established the Fred Smith Leadership Award, given to an individual
who exemplifies the combination of business acumen and active
Christian faith.
The April 26 talk is part of the Fred Smith Sr. Leadership
Symposium: Live, Learn Lead, a three-day leadership event
co-sponsored by Lindsey Wilson and Breakfast with Fred. Lindsey
Wilson is one of two U.S. colleges selected this year to host the
leadership symposium.
The April 25-26 symposium will also feature several small-group
meetings between students and leadership experts. Some of the
speakers scheduled to meet with students include: Glosser; Smith;
Bill Glass, former professional football player and founder of Bill
Glass Champions for Life; Pat Walters, former professional golfer;
and Harold Myra, CEO of Christianity Today
International.
