Criminal Justice - Special Opportunities
Internships
The Criminal Justice Internship Program at Lindsey Wilson is designed to expose Criminal Justice majors and minors to the field by immersing them in their concentration area. On-site experience better prepares them for success after graduation by equipping them with the experience they need to "hit the ground running" in their field. Examples of internship sites include law enforcement at the local, state, and federal level; both the public defender and prosecution offices, the Office of Pre-trial services, and probation and parole; and the Office of the Clerk of Court, ADANTA, and various other qualified criminal justice programs.
Alpha Phi Sigma
Alpha Phi Sigma is a national honor society of criminal justice students. Mu Sigma, the Lindsey Wilson College chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, was chartered in spring 2011. Among other awards, a double blue-yellow/gold honor cord is given to members in recognition of academic excellence. Students must maintain a GPA above 3.2 in criminal justice courses and in all other academic courses.
