I have always felt called to care for people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I wanted to be a compassionate presence and a strong advocate for patients and their families when they need it most. Growing up in a family of medical professionals, I was exposed to health care at a young age, which instilled in me a deep respect for the nursing profession and its impact on individuals and communities.
I chose Lindsey Wilson because it was close to home, and it felt like a natural fit for both my personal and professional goals. At the time, the nursing program was newly developed but already demonstrating great success and a strong commitment to student support and excellence.
Professionally, I have had the opportunity to work in several diverse nursing roles, including emergency room nursing, pediatric care in school settings and obstetrics/newborn nursing. Emergency medicine holds a special place for me because of its fast-paced nature – you never know what is coming next and there is always something new to learn every day. I earned my master of science in nursing degree in 2020 and returned to Lindsey Wilson as faculty member in 2024, a role I truly love and find incredibly fulfilling. I am working toward my doctor of nursing practice.
I am a wife and a proud mother of three wonderful children. I enjoy spending my free time traveling and making memories with my family. Returning to Lindsey Wilson as a nurse educator has been especially meaningful to me, and I am grateful for the opportunity to help shape and mentor the next generation of nurses.
