Physics - Program Distinctions

Many programs at Lindsey Wilson College have designed academic minors for the convenience of bachelor degree seeking students. A minor is a structured group of courses that leads to considerable knowledge and understanding of a subject, although with less depth than a major. Some employers consider minors desirable, as do some graduate programs. Some students choose to complement their major program with a minor in a related field or even in an entirely different field of interest. The college offers minors in many fields of study.

Students are encouraged to declare their minors early in their academic career and to seek guidance from the program coordinator. Courses for the minor must be completed with a minimum grade of C, unless a division or program specifies a higher grade requirement. A minor is not required for graduation. Please note that undergraduate students can complete a minor only in addition to and as a complement to a major. The college does not award stand-alone or independent minors
