Agribusiness - Program Distinctions
The Agribusiness degree is intentionally designed as a rural-serving program that strengthens the connection between the University and the surrounding agricultural community. Because the region’s economy is deeply rooted in farming, food systems, and land-based industries, students will benefit from a curriculum that places hands-on engagement at the center of their learning. Experiential learning is embedded across the degree through site visits, applied research projects, supply-chain mapping, and community-based problem solving. Working alongside producers gives students the chance to understand the day-to-day realities of rural agricultural enterprises, develop professional networks, and contribute meaningfully to their local economy.
