Global Study, Travel, Study Abroad
Lindsey Wilson students discover the cultural richness of the world both on and off campus. With students from more than 40 countries on campus, all Lindsey Wilson students have numerous opportunities every day to interact with and learn from students from all over the world.

Lindsey Wilson Campus Ministries partners with GO Ministries of Louisville, Kentucky, for an annual service trip to the Dominican Republic. Each summer, LWU students, alumni, and faculty join efforts to serve local communities—working with children and supporting initiatives in church planting, healthcare, and athletics to empower emerging leaders.
Students can also broaden their intellectual horizons through numerous study-abroad opportunities in Europe and Asia.
In Asia, the university has sister school relationships with five universities in Japan and two universities in South Korea. Every year, students from those universities attend Lindsey Wilson for either a semester or a year as part of their degree program at their home university. In turn, Lindsey Wilson students can study for a semester or year at the sister schools.
The Irish American Scholar program gives Lindsey Wilson students the opportunity to study at Ulster University in Northern Ireland. One of the top universities in the United Kingdom, Ulster University was named “University of the Year 2024” by Times Higher Education, an award known as the Oscars of the United Kingdom’s university sector.

In England, students can spend a semester or summer term at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England, where they get to study in a Victorian manor located in the British countryside of Lincolnshire. Fans of the Harry Potter series are especially drawn to study at this location because it reminds them of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Lindsey Wilson also sponsors travel opportunities for academic groups throughout the school year. Performing arts groups, classes and student organizations regularly travel to U.S. cities, as well as outside of the country, to enhance and supplement classes and majors.
Recent trips have included tours of Canada, England, France and Italy by the Lindsey Wilson Singers choral group; a gender studies class examined international human rights theory in Paris and Amsterdam; science students studied spider monkeys in the jungles of Belize; theatre students explored the Globe Theatre to deepen their understanding of Shakespeare’s work; art and communication students took a behind-the-scenes tour to learn about the magic of Walt Disney World; and business students spent a week aboard a cruise ship in the Caribbean and West Indies to gain more information about the tourism industry.
Lindsey Wilson participates in other study-abroad programs that provide international travel and academic opportunities to a variety of locations, which can be designed by working with your academic adviser and the Academic Affairs Office.
