My LWC Story

Dr. Martin was the first student to graduate from Lindsey Wilson College with a contract major in biopsychology. He was named a John B. Begley Scholar, the institution’s highest merit scholarship. Martin was a member of the 2001 national championship men’s soccer team and was named an NAIA academic all-American in 2003 and 2004.

Martin earned a doctorate of dental medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2011. He was then accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at the University of Oklahoma and earned a specialization certificate in 2015. After completing his surgical training, Martin accepted a position as an associate surgeon at Oral and Maxillofacial Associates in Oklahoma City, Okla. He is also on staff as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program. One of the many unique highlights of his career is serving on the medical staff as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon to the NBA franchise – the Oklahoma City Thunder. Martin met the love of his life, Leigh Ann Collins ’05 Martin, at Lindsey Wilson and they will soon celebrate their 10-year anniversary. They have two children: Addison and Lucy. His family is actively involved in their church in Oklahoma City – Crossings Community Church. Martin provides free surgical treatment to those who are less fortunate through the Crossings Community Center.
