11 a.m. - 2nd Annual Faculty/Staff Homecoming Cookout & Reunion

    The LWC Alumni Association and Alumni Council celebrate the faculty and staff of LWC with the Faculty and Staff Homecoming Cookout & Reunion in their honor. All current and former faculty and staff members, and the LWC alumni family are invited.

Friday, Oct. 20

12 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Homecoming Welcome Tent
Administration Building Front Lawn

    Stop by the Welcome Tent to register at Homecoming 2017 and get information needed for the weekend! Be sure to register for door prizes to be given away at the Homecoming Reunion Tailgate Tent on Saturday afternoon. Tickets to the Homecoming football game can be purchased at the Welcome Tent for $5. (Tickets at the gate cost $10.)

    If multiple members of your family attended LWC, you and your family members are eligible for a free “LWC Legacy – It’s a Family Thing” t-shirt. To be considered an LWC Legacy, a student or an alum must have a parent, grandparent, or sibling who also attended/attends. Once you have your shirts, we will photograph your family in front of the L.R. McDonald Administration Building. Register for this event and reserve your LWC Legacy t-shirts by contacting the Alumni Relations Office.

2 p.m. - 14th Annual Morris Shepherd Ping Pong Tournament
Cralle Student Union Building

    Join other alumni and students in this single elimination tournament hosted by Morris Shepherd ’53. No registration fee; sign up day of the event. Cash prizes given to winners of the singles and doubles tournaments.

3 p.m. - LWC Alumni Association Annual Meeting
Clark Reading Room - Katie Murrell Library

    All LWC alumni are invited to the meeting to learn how to become involved with the LWC Alumni Council.

4 p.m. – LWC Volleyball vs. University of Pikeville

4 p.m. – “What I’m Doing with a Communication Degree” Panel Discussion
Hosted by: The LWC Communications Department

    Join alumni from the LWC communication program for a question and answer session. Our panel will share suggestions, tips and ideas on how to prepare for a future as a communication professional.

    This candlelight ceremony is an annual tradition for current LWC Singers. All alumni of the LWC Singers program are invited to attend.

    Basketball legends are returning to campus to celebrate the 85th anniversary of basketball at LWC. Blue Raider men’s basketball coaches Paul Peck ’75 and Chris Starks invite all former varsity and J.V. players, coaches and team managers back for this special reunion. Take part in an alumni basketball game that will include the newest Lindsey Wilson College Athletic Hall of Fame inductees, Cetric “Wimp” Anderson ’05 and Scott Cook ’06. All former varsity and J.V. men’s basketball players are encouraged to contact Coach Chris Starks at starksc@lindsey.edu to register for the game.

    Join us for the first-ever Alumni Day of Service. LWC alumni will serve alongside current LWC students, participating in projects that enrich the surrounding community while encouraging the service mindset that is central to Lindsey Wilson College. Projects will be completed in time for participants to freshen up and attend the luncheon. For more information about projects and participation, please contact:

    All members of the Lindsey Wilson Singers family are invited to join Dr. Gerald Chafin and the Singers family for a time of fellowship before your opportunity to join the current Singers in a performance at the Alumni Awards and Hall of Fame Celebration later in the morning.
    Rehearsal will begin at 9 a.m. CT.

    Join LWC Assistant Professor of Biology Dr. Michael Bosela for a tour of the LWC Natural Garden which features countless varieties of plants and flowers native to Kentucky. The Garden is located on the east end of Walter S. Reuling Stadium (Soccer Field).

    If you attended LWC prior to 1968 and were not able to attend your 50 year reunion, this event provides you the opportunity to officially be inducted into the Golden Alumni Society. If you plan to attend, mark this reunion group on your reservation form.
11 a.m. - 2017 Alumni Awards & Athletic Hall of Fame Celebration

    The LWC National Alumni Association invites you to its 86th-annual alumni awards celebration. Join fellow classmates and friends as we honor this year’s award recipients and Athletic Hall of Fame inductees. Cost: $14 per person, $25 per couple. Please register by Oct. 9 for this event if you plan to attend.

    All alumni are invited to come by the Homecoming Reunion tent to reconnect prior to the Homecoming football game. Reunion groups to be recognized include men’s basketball, baseball, the communication program (hosted by Lambda Pi Eta), the classes of 1980-81 and others.

    For the past five years, students of LWC have traveled to the Dominican Republic each summer through the LWC Christian Ministries Program. LWC alumni are invited to join LWC students in the Dominican Republic in July 2018. Stop by for snacks and learn how you can be a part of the mission team. If you can’t make the trip, you can still be part of the team by signing up as a prayer partner or learning how you can invest in this ministry.     Cheer the Blue Raiders to a Homecoming victory and celebrate the crowning of the King and Queen during halftime.

    Celebrate Homecoming over a tailgate meal and meet up with old friends at the Homecoming Reunion Tent! Cost: $5.00 per person (pay at the door event).

5:30 p.m. – LWC Baseball Reunion
Egnew Field

    Coach Jonathon Burton and the Blue Raiders welcome back all former varsity and J.V. baseball players for this reunion! At 6 p.m., we will celebrate the team from the 1999/2000 season that advanced to the NAIA Super Regionals for the first time in school history!

6:30 p.m. – LWC Baseball Alumni “Softball” Game

    The congregation of Columbia United Methodist Church invites the Lindsey Wilson family to join them in worship. Special music will be performed by the Lindsey Wilson College Singers.

    Conclude your Homecoming weekend with friends for brunch to share memories of the weekend (pay at the door event).
