Three Lindsey Wilson Graduate Students’ Work Recognized


student recognized at showcaseCOLUMBIA, Ky. -- Work by three graduate students was recognized by the Lindsey Wilson University School of Graduate Business & Technology Programs.

Victor Khanna, Sanket Sahoo and Chitrika Tadiboina participated in one of the school’s recent student showcases, which featured research on artificial intelligence and renewable energy by students in the university’s School of Graduate Business & Technology Programs.

Khanna’s presentation, “Electro-Flow Batteries: Powering the Future of Clean Energy Storage,” explored how electro-flow battery technology might be able to improve renewable energy storage and grid reliability.

His presentation compared electro-flow batteries with traditional lithium-ion technology, highlighting their safety, durability and sustainability. It also discussed the project’s business model, market potential and competitive advantages.

“Overall, the presentation demonstrates how innovative energy storage can support the global transition to a cleaner and more resilient energy future,” said Khanna, who has more than 14 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence and process improvement.

Sahoo presented “A Strategic Framework for Secure and Responsible AI Adoption,” which examined how organizations can responsibly leverage artificial intelligence by identifying and managing emerging risks, such as attacks, data poisoning, and data exposure. Sahoo’s presentation emphasized embedding cybersecurity throughout the AI lifecycle rather than treating it as an afterthought.

second and third place recognized for STEM projectsAnd Sahoo has a lot of experience working in cybersecurity. A 10-year veteran of the field, he is a cybersecurity manager at Deloitte who leads cybersecurity initiatives that support state government health agencies and helps organizations strengthen their security through various strategies.

Tadiboina, who won first place for Outstanding Graduate Innovation Award, presented “Agentic Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Framework for Intelligent Document Understanding.” Her research explored how autonomous AI agents and advanced language models can collaborate to improve information extraction, contextual reasoning and enterprise document intelligence. 

Tadiboina said her work is “inspired by the idea of machines that can learn, reason and assist humans in solving complex challenges.” She also has valuable industry experience, working with Accenture, Deloitte and the Baldwin Group. 

“These experiences strengthened the connection between academic research and real-world AI applications while reinforcing my commitment to developing scalable, responsible and impactful AI systems,” she said.
