Lindsey Wilson University Director of Financial Aid Audrey Price to Appear on KET's 'Education Matters'
COLUMBIA, Ky. (10/12/2026) — Lindsey Wilson University Director of Financial Aid Audrey Price will appear on the upcoming broadcast of a Kentucky Educational Television show about college and financial aid.
Price will appear on the KET show "Education Matters," which is scheduled to air for the first time at 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET on Monday, Oct. 12.
Hosted by KET anchor Kelsey Starks, the show features Price along with three fellow financial aid experts: University of Kentucky Associate Director of Assessment, Compliance and Training Bob Fultz; Owensboro Community & Technical College Director of Financial Aid Rosa Gogel; and Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority Northwestern Kentucky Outreach Counselor Connor Vogt.
During the hourlong program, the four panelists will explain the true cost of a college education, outline financial options available to students and families, and demystify the notion that a college education has become out of reach for most families.
They will also discuss the importance of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Popularly known as the FAFSA, the form managed by the U.S. Department of Education is central to financial aid at most colleges and universities.
"The FAFSA is better than it's been in at least five years," said Price. "It's a very simple, streamlined form this year."
And with Kentucky higher education grants expected to run out by March 2027, Price said it is essential for college students and their family members to complete the FAFSA early in this school year.
That's why Price and her staff members have started to host a series of FAFSA workshops on campus.
"It's very important this school year for students to complete the FAFSA as early as possible," said Price.
The October episode of "Education Matters" is scheduled to be broadcast 15 times on KET's networks during the month, and Price hopes that the repetition will help reinforce the retention of information, especially the affordability of a college education.
"The bottom line is that a college education is affordable if you do the work ahead of time to research it," said Price. "The college search should not start during the senior year of high school. It really should start at least in the junior year of high school, because that gives families and students plenty of time to explore colleges and universities and learn about the many options available to pay for a college education."
October is a busy month for Price. In addition to appearing on KET's "Education Matters," Price will attend her first Kentucky Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators conference as the organization's president. She will also host a Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education webinar about affording a college education.
