Students enrolled on the A.P. White campus in Columbia are eligible for institutional grants and scholarships.

Alumni Legacy Scholarship - Up to $1500

  • Dependent student whose parent or grandparent graduated from LWC

Athletic Grant-in-Aid - Amount varies

  • Determination made by coaches

Christian Service Grant - Up to one-half tuition

  • Dependent unmarried children under age 24 and/or spouses of a Kentucky United Methodist Minister employed in full-time service to the Church
  • (Also available to dependent unmarried children under age 24 and/or spouses of a deceased full-time Kentucky United Methodist Minister.)

Distinguished Young Woman Scholarship - Up to $3500*

  • Distinguished Young Woman Participants
  • Minimum high school GPA of 3.0
    • Scholastic Winner: Up to $3500
    • Winner: Up to $3500

E.O. Robinson Scholarship - Up to $1100

  • Qualifying students from eastern Kentucky
  • Funded by the E.O. Robinson Foundation

Instrumental/Choral Scholarship

  • Determination made by music instructors

Lindsey Wilson United Methodist Scholarship - Up to $1000

  • Active member of the United Methodist Church
  • Written recommendation from minister

Margaret McDonald Scholarship - Up to $2500

  • Taylor County resident
  • High school GPA, ACT and need considered

Named Endowed Scholarships - Amount varies

  • Specific requirements established by the donor

William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship for Minority Students - Amount varies

  • Priority given to candidates who have been accepted into the Lindsey Wilson College Education Program.
  • Minimum high school GPA of 3.3
  • A record of community service as demonstrated by involvement in school, civic, church, or other projects that reflect a helping orientation

Unlimited Pathways to Biology & Mathematics in Southcentral Kentucky

The Unlimited Pathways to Biology & Mathematics in Southcentral Kentucky (UP) project will recruit 15 unique, domestic, low-income students with academic ability, talent or potential, and demonstrated financial need, interested in pursuing degrees in biology and math. Veterans Educational Benefits

(Qualification and eligibility is determined by the Veterans Affairs Department.)

Lindsey Wilson College certifies veterans, reservists, servicepersons, and other eligible persons under the provisions of Chapters 30, 32, 33, and 35, Title 38, U.S. Code; and Chapter 1606, Title 10, U.S. CODE (CFR21.4253). Students using U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (V.A.) Post 9/11 G.I. Bill®* (Ch. 33) or Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (Ch. 31) benefits, while payment to the institution is pending from the VA, Lindsey Wilson College will not:
  • Prevent their enrollment;
  • Assess a late penalty fee;
  • Require they secure alternative or additional funding; or
  • Deny them access to any resources (access to classes, libraries, or other institutional facilities) available to other students who have satisfied their tuition and fee bills to the institution.

However, to qualify for this provision, such students may be required to:

  • Produce the V.A.’s Certificate of Eligibility by the first day of class;
  • Provide written request to be certified; and/or
  • Provide additional information to properly certify the enrollment as described in other institutional policies (see the college’s V.A. School Certifying Official for all requirements).

Military Service Scholarship – Amount Varies

(Qualification is determined by remaining eligibility of educational funding from any Veterans Affairs Tuition Assistance Program from any branch of the military that can be processed by Lindsey Wilson College.)

  • Completed application for VA educational benefits at http://www.gibill.va.gov.
  • Submission of the Certificate of Eligibility and DD214 to the Veterans Affairs Coordinator.
  • Qualifications will be determined by term in review of enrollment, degree status, and GPA.
  • Minimum GPA 2.5 for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduate students.
  • Complete the Lindsey Wilson College Veterans Enrollment form each term and notification to the VA coordinator of any changes that occur in the course schedule.

Yellow Ribbon Grant - Amount varies

(Qualification in the Yellow Ribbon Program will be stated on the student's Certificate of Eligibility.)
  • Completed application for VA educational benefits at http://www.gibill.va.gov.
  • Submission of the Certificate of Eligibility and DD214 to the Veterans Affairs Coordinator.
  • Complete the Lindsey Wilson College Veterans Enrollment form each term and notification to the VA coordinator of any changes that occur in the course schedule.
  • Considered if tuition and fee expenses exceed Veterans Affairs Departments maximum payable amount for the academic aid year regarding the Post-9/11 GI Bill entitlement.
  • Specific dollar amount that the school contributes will be matched by the Veterans Affairs Department.
  • Student must maintain satisfactory progress, conduct and attendance.
